American history is richly preserved in this beautiful village which was the birth and burial place of Calvin Coolidge, the 30th President of the United States. We enjoyed touring parts of the historic buildings there including the general store run by Coolidge’s father, the upstairs of which served as the summer white house on more than one occasion.

There is also a wonderful cheese factory there where you can watch the cheese being made. I took home some Hunter’s cheese. Wonderfully smooth and slightly sharp cheddar. Plymouth is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been in Vermont, and in many ways time there has stood still.
