Craftsbury, famous as the home of Pete’s Greens  was so close to Greensboro we had to seek it out. We can say we visited there with good conscience but it was at the end of the day and we were pretty played out. So we only gave it a cursory look. We’ll be back someday. Didn’t realize we were so close to the Canadian border.

We were delighted to reach our destination. Greensboro is a wonderfully pleasant town; very bright and welcoming. The town center hosts an old fashioned general store, a terrific ice cream parlor and a short walk to the beaches of Caspian Lake. Sidewalks are everywhere allowing convenient foot tours about the well kept neighborhoods that seem to blend seamlessly into the town center. It’s also worth noting that Greensboro is the home of Circus Smirkus. We didn’t get to see a performance but perhaps next time.  Greensboro is also the home of a new performing arts center, The Highland Center for the Arts, designed to replicate the famous Globe Theater in many ways.
