So if the city life in Middlebury is a bit too cosmopolitan for you then Cornwall is the place for you. OK, maybe a little inside Vermont humor there, but you’ll have to come here to get it and you’ll be glad you did. Located just South of Middlebury on Route 30, Cornwall appears to us to be just a great little Vermont town to live in.

We went up to check out a Blueberry Festival at the Congregational Church. Pretty much a low key local event celebrating the glory of blueberries in every form imaginable with some guitar and banjo pickin’ under the tent. After we waited out a brief rainstorm we wandered up to the church where I sampled the blueberry cobbler. I’m here to tell you it was worth the trip on its own. The church was just one of many wonderful old Meeting Houses we encounter in our travels; some well maintained and lived in like this one and others not so much. The people were extremely friendly and we considered ourselves lucky to be there on such a fine day. Thanks, Cornwall.
