Nothing gets Robyn up in the morning like a good town wide tag sale. She had read about one in Cavendish so we headed over. The first tag sale we came to was actually in Proctorsville. It took some asking to try to get the boundaries between Proctorsville and Cavendish sorted out but the two places seem to be oddly wedded into one. In fact, Proctorsville is not considered a town but rather something called a Census Dedicated Place (CDP). But the Proctorsville Fire Department was a major presence at the event so I don’t think I’ll be the one to suggest they’re not a town.

Both tag sales were great and I think I may have outspent my bride for the first time. Town wide tag sales are great because you get to walk around the town and really get a feel for it. We thought it was a very friendly and upbeat place and yet quiet and traditional Vermont as well.
